The love story…
Love has a way of bringing two people together in the most unexpected moments, and for Madeline and Nelson, their journey began in 2017 at work. What started as friendly conversations soon turned into something more. Then, on Cinco de Mayo night, fate stepped in. Madeline was out in the city when she spontaneously decided to visit Nelson at his office. That night, they explored the city together, and from that moment on—their love story began.
Fast forward to October 2021, when Nelson planned the perfect surprise proposal in one of New York City’s most iconic locations—Central Park. Before heading to their reservation at a restaurant, Nelson suggested a stroll through the park—something they often did, so Madeline thought nothing of it. But as they walked beneath the golden autumn leaves, Nelson got down on one knee and asked the question that would change their lives forever.
Overjoyed, they celebrated with a romantic dinner, but the surprises didn’t end there. After their meal, Nelson suggested they visit a rooftop bar, where Madeline walked in to find her closest friends and family waiting to celebrate their engagement. It was the perfect ending to a magical day!
The Wedding Day…
Some love stories deserve to be celebrated twice, and for Madeline and Nelson, their wedding day was the perfect opportunity to do just that.
After originally exchanging vows in an intimate ceremony due to Madeline’s mother’s health, the couple was overjoyed when her condition improved, allowing them to have the full wedding celebration they had always envisioned all together. On a season full of rainy weekends, fate gifted them a gorgeous, sunlit day—a true blessing for their outdoor ceremony. With her mother by her side, looking radiant and healthy, Madeline was able to share every heartfelt moment, making the day even more special.
Opting to wait until the aisle for their first look, Madeline and Nelson’s ceremony was filled with emotion and pure joy as they locked eyes for the first time that day. Before the ceremony, we captured beautiful bridal party portraits, saving the newlywed photos for golden hour during cocktail hour—a decision that resulted in stunning, romantic wedding portraits bathed in soft, dreamy light.
As the night continued, Madeline surprised everyone with a stylish reception dress—a chic short gown with an elegant bow detail—perfect for dancing the night away. The energy on the dance floor was incredible, and the couple truly soaked in every moment of their celebration.
Before the evening ended, we stepped outside for some breathtaking night portraits, creating epic, cinematic images that perfectly captured the magic of the day.
