The Garrison, Hudson Valley

These sweet souls who’ve been together for 10 years have finally tied the knot! At a beautiful venue in Hudson Valley, NY, The Garrison, which offers breathtaking views of the mountains and Hudson River. They had their wedding on a Thursday in September, right before Labor Day so their guests had a reason to take an extended long weekend away from work. Smart cookies! Their choice in decor and florals were on point. The wind perfectly blowing Melissa’s dress ever so romantically. The sun set was everything we could have wished for. Congratulations my loves!

After the final touches and some sewing to Mitch’s button on his suit they were ready for their first look.

They shared their private vows together just bride and groom with their photographer and videographer there to capture these special moments.

M + M’s Proposal Story:

We traveled to Colorado to explore Denver and the Rockies in September of 2020. The forecast was warm and sunny – perfect hiking weather. After 3 days of consistent 90 degree weather, the day of our hike arrived and we woke up to 5 inches of snow! We ran to a local shop and rented snow boots, spikes and poles and made our way to Dream Lake at Rocky Mountain National Park. When we reached the top of the mountain there was a heavy white fog and we were the only ones there. My husband got down on one knee but before he could say anything I started ugly-crying – we both laughed and the rest is history. Five minutes after he proposed the heavy fog completely cleared and we were able to see a gorgeous reflective lake surrounded by snow covered mountains. It was so intimate and so special.
